We re edging towards the end of the current international break and a whole host of teams have already booked their place at next year s FIFA World Cup. Of course, we still have plenty of places left to fill between now and next winter, and home nation Wales will hope to take a big step towards qualifying themselves when they play host to Belgium on Tuesday evening.

Wales

The Welsh have had to endure some tough times off the pitch as of late and on it, they ve been okay at best. They re picking up big wins here and there but they aren t quite pushing themselves to the limit in the way they did at the start of their Euro 2020 campaign. They ve got the star power necessary to make waves in the play-offs, but they need to remain focused if they want to reignite their Nations League spark.

Team News

Ampadu is out for suspension but Rob Page will have Kieffer Moore to call upon for this crunch game.

Belgium

The golden generation of Belgium has, in more ways than one, failed to live up to the hype. There are some real world class players within their ranks but for whatever reason, they haven t quite been able to get over the hump and reach the final of a major international tournament. Still, even with that being said, they qualified from Group E with relative ease and can now begin preparations for Qatar.

Team News

A host of changes are expected from a visiting side who have already managed to qualify for the 2022 World Cup.

Factors to Consider
Belgium beat Wales 3-1 in their WCQ opener back in March.
Wales have won three and drawn three of their last six games.
Belgium have won four and lost two of their last six games.
Wales have scored 11 goals and conceded five in their last six games.
Belgium have scored 15 goals and conceded eight in their last six games.
Conclusion

We anticipate that this is going to be a pretty interesting clash of styles between two teams who have shared some wild games together over the years. Alas, we don t think it ll be particularly thrilling, given that one side has already qualified and the other only needs a draw. We think this one should feature a few bright moments but in the end, it ll finish up as a 0-0 or 1-1 draw.
